Meet the team
Christophe Djaouani
Christophe focuses on driving the go-to-market strategy and direction and running high level operations while providing motivating leadership. He has 21 years of industry experience having started his career with RR Donnelley, serving Fortune 500 and customers in highly regulated industries as Executive Vice President, achieving consistent revenue and profit margin growth. Christophe is fluent in French, Italian, English, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Alexandra Jarvis
Alexandra focuses on building value through corporate development, strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, partner relationships and finance. Alex spent 16 years in financial services, as an equity analyst focused on the technology and services sector, before joining the language industry with SDL in 2017, where she was Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, Corporate Marketing and Communications. Alex is fluent in English, French, German, and holds an MA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
Nicolas Bosovsky
Nico focuses on the global operational strategy, effectiveness, and innovation, as well as creating a best-in-class global service delivery team. Nico has over 20 years of experience in the localization industry, primarily in Regulated Industries. Nico started his career in Financial Translations working for Merrill and RR Donnelley. He was instrumental in the business transformation and spin off from the DLS division and acquisition by SDL becoming the VP Global Operations of the SDL Regulated industries business leading the operational and solutions strategy, service delivery platform, customer success and shared services teams across the globe. Nico is fluent in Spanish, English, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the London Metropolitan University.
Anna Gargiulo
Anna focuses on profitable revenue generation and growth, the customer acquisition strategy and retention, talent acquisition and retention, and is the chief client advocate. For over 20 years, Anna has been in the translation business – with a primary focus on regulated markets, most recently as Vice President of Sales at SDL where she successfully and profitably grew revenue year on year. Anna is fluent in Italian, English, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages from the University of Chicago.
Gemma Whinder
Gemma focuses on building critical business information reporting, financial reporting, governance and controls frameworks as supportive platforms to fast and sustainable business growth. After training as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, Gemma has 17 years’ experience leading finance teams within digital media companies and groups of all sizes. Gemma is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. Gemma has an MSC in Economic History from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Economics and Economic History from The University of York.
Franziska Hardmeier
Franziska focuses on technology solutions & strategy. For nearly 20 years, Franziska has been in the translation industry in different roles in both operations and language technology delivery. Most recently Franziska led the implementation of SLATE, an innovative translation-on-demand solution combining AI and human in the loop at SDL plc. Franziska is fluent in Swiss German, English, and holds a MA in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster.
Christy Ma
With 16 years of extensive experience in the localization industry, ranging from operations to strategic sales, Christy focuses on organic revenue growth in Asia Pacific through market acquisition and client retention while building an effective service delivery platform to deliver best-in-class tailored solutions to regional and multinational clients, primarily in the regulated industries. She is an expert in meeting unique regional regulatory requirements, delivering efficiency for clients, and helping them meet compliance obligations. Christy is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and has a working knowledge in Japanese. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Women Studies from Hamilton College.
Mercedes Irazola Bezares
Mercedes oversees the global people-first human capital strategy. She focuses on unleashing the full potential of our people and contributing to a diverse, agile and inclusive culture. Before starting her experience with the localization industry 7+ years ago when she joined RR Donnelley, she had built her HR career in the consultancy and energy sectors. Mercedes is fluent in Spanish, English, French and holds a Bachelor of Law and International Relations from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICADE.
