How it works
Selection
Once you’ve successfully registered and set up an account on our online translation portal, you get access to our jobs board. Our project managers will also have access to your profile to select you for relevant work.
Briefing
Once you’ve agreed to work on a project, you’ll go through a briefing process to understand the expectations of the project. You’ll also be provided with all the resources you need to get you up and running.
Translation and review
Using our online translation portal, this is where you put your expertise into practice!
Payment
Once your translations have been received, reviewed and approved, payment can be made in a variety of convenient ways in the currency of your choice.
How to apply
To become a freelance translator with TOPPAN Digital Language, you need to ensure you meet at least one of the following criteria:
- you hold a linguistic qualification (language-related degree) and have at least 3 years of professional translation experience or
- have at least 5 years of professional experience as a translator and a degree in a specialised field (e.g, medicine, law, engineering etc.)
Additionally, we ask that you provide two professional references from agencies or direct clients and a portfolio of work. Unfortunately, we don’t accept references from peers, colleagues or lecturers.
If you have the relevant experience, you’ll be contacted by one of our talent managers to finalise your registration and create an account on our online translation portal to get access to our jobs board.
