3DCart Provides eBay Integration to Enhance Retailers’ Ecommerce Capabilities

3DCart has provided their customers the ability to sell goods through eBay and even provides the option to list their products as an “auction” or “buy it now” fixed price.

Founded as early as 1997, 3DCart is a powerful, flexible and cost-effective online store builder and ecommerce platform for small to medium online retailers.

“eBay integration gives our customers the ability to better compete with larger online brands,” says Joe Palko, Chief Marketing Officer at 3DCart.

Businesses will need to access the eBay API in order to grant access to their stores before being able to use the new integration functionality. However, once this is done retailers will be able to decide which products they want to sell on eBay, how long they appear for and what the price or minimum bid is.

Other features include setting up specific rules for item condition, return policy settings, as well as buyer and shipping location controls so retailers can manage their products more effectively.

eBay is an extremely important channel for many small retailers that don’t have the brand recognition or reach – not to mention advertising spend – to compete with larger stores. For example, in 2012, eBay helped businesses sell $75.3 billion in merchandise.

What will be interesting is if other small- to medium-sized providers of ecommerce and payment solutions will follow suit with eBay integrations of their own.
